We meet on the fourth Tuesday of every month at 7:00 and we will post the location here, on Facebook and Meetup. We meet at Breweries with great beers to purchase. You are welcome to bring a bottle of your own brew to share, but it is not necessary. (No commercial beer, please)
Everyone is welcome, from those just into beer, starting up the hobby of homebrewing, to professional brewers, many of whom started out here as homebrewers. If you are looking to check us out for the first time, we’d love to meet you! We will provide a light meal with a potluck style dinner and plenty of beer to sample! Join up and watch your email.
Special Events
We host a monthly ‘First Friday Out’ (FFO) at a local brewery, cidery, meadery or tap house. (There are plenty to choose from in our neighborhood). Our primary club fundraising event, typically held at our August meeting, is our annual auction. At the auction you can bid to get great deals on brewing equipment, dinners or tasting experiences, brewing classes or opportunities to brew with experienced brewers in our club, ingredients, social activities and whatever else gets offered up or donated. A combination swap meet and brewing/beverage participation opportunity. In December we host a “Bomber Exchange” where we do a white elephant exchange for great beers. We participate in a Club Picnic in the summer with our sister homebrewing club, Indian Peak Alers in Longmont.
We hope to see you at our next meeting!
If you like our club and would like to continue participation in any of or all our events, all we ask is a yearly membership. Our dues are $35.00 for single, or $45.00 per couple. This helps provide us with the funds to have a meeting place, put on the Dredhop, provide food during each club meeting, brew club/color group beers, and participate in the annual camp picnic. Thanks for checking us out and see you soon!
Homebrew Competition
For the competitive type, running since the inception of the club, we have hosted the Hop Barley & the Alers annual homebrew competition known as the Reggale & Dredhop. This is a nationally renowned AHA and BJCP sanctioned competition that sees entries from across the US, and often around the globe.
We have BCPA certified judges from around the area. Being a club member provides an opportunity to support the club while learning about participating in beer completions, including stewarding and judging (partnered with an experienced BCPA certified judge) We have experienced beer judges who are happy to give feedback on your homebrew.
