I like September too. Dave A.
Background
Just a little background for some of the newer members. We have the picnic in July, but it's usually always hot or raining ( from what I hear). I was there last year and it was about 100 degrees. There is an indoor area in case of rain, but the heat can be oppressive. Apparently attendance has been declining. We think it's due to all the other vacations scheduled over the summer. So, what would it take to get you to come out to the picnic? Overnight camping is availble and encouraged. It's usually a very fun time, and it's pretty close to Boulder. If anyone has suggestions on what would make it better, or have better attendance, please let us know.

I think it should be in September.
Earlier
I like May or June. Too many things going on in September. (Like huntin' season!)
