Zac Triemert is Head Brewer for Upstream Brewing Company (http://www.upstreambrewing.com/) in Omaha, Nebraska. Zac holds a BS in Microbiology and an MS in Brewing & Distilling from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, Scotland.

At the Upstream Zac was responsible for significant growth in sales due to the improvement of quality and consistency and has won numerous national and international brewing awards. Zac is a member of various committees for the Brewers Association and is a member of the BA Board of Directors.

In 2007, Zac focused his attention on changing the Nebraska state law to allow for craft distilleries; Nebraska’s new craft distilling law went into effect on September 1, 2007. He has since co-founded Nebraska’s first post-prohibition distillery and Nebraska’s newest craft brewery. Operations for Lucky Bucket Brewing Company will begin this fall; The Sòlas Distillery this winter.
