In celebration of 13 years of brewing excellence, we will once again be hosting our annual hoe-down at the beautiful Boulder Theater to say thanks to the local community for all of their support.

We are really excited about this years headlining act Uncle Earl. Supporting Uncle Earl with be a local act called Wayword Sons featuring Sally Van-Meter. Together these two bands will bring Boulder a night of fast picking traditional, old time original tunes.

Call it old-time for our times: with their infectious energy, undeniable charisma, sharp musicianship, and unique repertoire of original and traditional songs, Uncle Earl is bringing the string band legacy proudly into the modern era. Uncle Earl has been featured in some of the finest papers in the United State including but not limited to The New York Times and the Washington Post. One of their latest songs "Crayola" just won phase 1 of the John Lennon Songwriting Contest.

Kicking off the event will be Wayword Sons featuring local dobro ledgend Sally Van-Meter. Wayword Sons is one of the most interesting new bands in today's music scene. Combining the critically acclaimed songwriting of Benny Galloway and stellar musicianship within the unique instrumentation of keyboards, dobro, acoustic guitar and upright bass, The Wayword sound is truly something special.

This years event will benefit the Boulder County AIDS Project and KGNU Public Radio The Mission of BCAP is twofold: to provide advocacy and education to those in our community who are infected with or affected by the Human Immunodeficiency Virus and to serve as an outreach and information center to prevent further transmission of HIV and the resulting Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS). The second beneficiary will be our only local non-for-profit radio station KGNU Community Radio.
